A year of living in ultra-walkable Seattle is definitely having an impact. Now we're taking hilly 50-block "casual evening strolls" up and down Phinney Ridge. Which is a really nice neighborhood actually. It's partially gentrified, but not like Ballard, and it still has a very strong artsy/craftsman ethic in the architecture. Even the new construction has evident attempts at character. More stars, less road noise, and you can vaguely smell the sea, in a pleasant way.
